Privacy Policy
Pill2U (“we”, “us”) is a pharmacist-led online contraceptive service in development. This page explains how we handle personal information on this waitlist website. It is not a medical service yet, and we do not collect health information here.
What we collect
If you join the mailing list, we collect:
- Your email address
- The date and time you subscribed
Our servers may also keep standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
Why we use it
We use your email only to tell you when Pill2U launches, and to send related service updates you would reasonably expect as a waitlist subscriber. We will not use it for unrelated marketing.
The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time by asking us to remove your email.
What we do not collect
This waitlist does not ask for your name, address, date of birth, medical history, or any special category health data. When the full service opens, a separate privacy notice will cover clinical information.
Sharing
We do not sell your email. We only share it if we need a provider to send launch messages on our behalf, if the law requires it, or if we must protect someone’s vital interests. Any email provider we use would be allowed to process your address only for that purpose.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist emails until we have launched and sent the notification, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. We may keep a record of the deletion request for a short period so we do not contact you again by mistake.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold your email
- Correct it if it is wrong
- Delete it and take you off the list
- Restrict or object to our use of it
- Receive a copy of the data we hold about you
Email [email protected] and we will respond as soon as we can, and within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Security and children
We store waitlist data with access limited to people who need it to run the launch list. No method of storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.
This waitlist is not intended for anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected an email from a child under 18, we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page. If the change is significant, we will also email waitlist subscribers where we can.
